I had to develop a logo for my brand along with items that go with it. Since I attend/table at a lot of zine fests, comic cons, and art walks, I use bookmarks instead of business cards in order to market or network with other professionals (or make new friends).

My logo is a vector image with my signature “Artist” hat. My bookmarks are designed by me using some images from my comics and a color palette to match each image. The front has my contact info (email) and my social media accounts. The backside is a note section where anyone may write and/or doodle.

My long term partner is a member of a student org at his medical school campus; he and his club had asked if I may create a logo that would also go on their club t-shirts.

I was commissioned to do the YouTube profile images for the husband/wife gaming channels of Evil Chinchilla and Kateka Gaming. I knew Kateka personally from when we both worked at an amusement park and we stayed in touch even after we both left our jobs. At first, she commissioned me for her husband’s channel and then, later on, was commissioned to do her channel’s.

My long time partner was part of a student org at our undergrad college for students who wanted to enter the medical field after college. He asked if I could create a logo for the student org that would also go on the org t-shirts for their t-shirt contest.

I originally had the second image as my final design but was later changed to match with the school’s colors. Both images are still used by the pre-health society today.

The photographs are members wearing the t-shirts with the designs on them.

A good friend of mine/business partner commissioned me to create a logo for his engineering business as well as to promote his music business. Due to the success of his business, I am currently his main graphic designer/artist for his company.

Gin (Dr. Ginger Silvera) is the Latina hip hop rapper from East LA and also my sister in law with a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont College. Her most recent work includes her EP Spiritual Bars, which also comes with a zine telling the story behind the album. It also includes the infamous Mowgli sticker based on one of her songs from the same album.

She is currently creating soaps, bracelets, and vlogs on her YouTube. Feel free to find her on Band Camp, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date on her music and merch.

Everything here I have designed (or redesigned) for her brand. The Spiritual Bars cover for the zine as well as creating, formatting, printing, and binding. The Mowgli sticker I did not design but formatted to be turned into a sticker as well as a shirt design. The other items are the soap labels as well as her “GIN” logo and other shirt designs you can find on her Threadless shop

One of my close friends/boss is part of the 22q11 California Foundation and needed images to promote their yearly event at the Santa Ana Zoo in Santa Ana, CA.

She and the foundation commissioned me to create a flyer, both a Facebook cover banner and a physical banner design for their event which has been used since then.

My friend/boss who commissioned me to do 22q11 at the Zoo designs is also in charge of the podcast, the Awareness Show. My role on the show is the graphic designer/cartoonist

My partner’s sister is a real estate agent in Norwalk, CA. After I graduated from CSUDH with my BA in Graphic Design, I was asked to create flyers for her real estate.

During my undergrad years at CSUDH, I was a member of the Anime Club who had a small partnership with APSA (Asian Pacific Student Association). Since I was a graphic design major, I was commissioned to create the club logo as well as the application for the graduation celebration, the graduation celebration flyer and an event flyer they were holding.

I was hired as both the graphic designer and event photographer by my mother in 2012 for the quinceanera of my stepfather’s niece. At the time, I was a student at CSUDH still learning the basics of graphic design and photography. While I was a student, this experience helped me improve my skills and helped set the foundations of my freelancing.

My partner started an Engineering Club on our campus at CSUDH when we first met. He needed an artist to create a logo to submit to our school’s Clubs and Orgs office, thus he asked me if I could create one since I was a graphic design major.

My first internship while I was an undergrad at CSUDH, Silversword Media Corporation was a team of historians, photographers and videographers who were trying to come up with a learning plan to bring awareness to the history of wild west. Heritage Trails was the name of the plan.

I was the graphic design intern teamed up with former Hanna/Barbara animation artist Mario Williams who was assigned to be my mentor who I’ve kept in contact ever since. I still do some freelancing for Silversword whenever they need someone.
